Proving once again that the only constant in life is change, we’ve recently said goodbye to some of our longest-tenured team members as they head off on new adventures. Last month, it was Ethan (off to UVic) and Carolyn (off to teach in Vancouver), and now it’s time to say farewell to Matt & Lexi. 😢
While they haven’t officially left us just yet, we wanted to take a moment to say a huge **thank you** and wish them our best as they head off in early October for some extended international travel and new adventures.
If you’ve been to The Rake on a Friday or Saturday night over the past couple of years, chances are Matt or Lexi has served you, and chances are you’ve gotten to know them pretty well along the way. Their smiling faces and top notch service have become such a big part of The Rake's busiest nights, and they’ll be very missed!
As a family-run business, we get especially attached to our people. While it’s never easy to see great team members move on, we’re incredibly excited for them and know they’ll do amazing things in this next chapter.
If you’re coming into The Rake tonight, be sure to say hi, raise a drink, and wish Matt & Lexi well on their travels! ❤️🌎
