Ok been a while...years. but here we are; we haven't grown any hop crops since Covid, and have made the final decision to fold the Hop Farm.
The plants did just fine without us so if any of you are interested, its time to dig up rhizomes.
$2 dollar per node. (Each Rhizome can have several) Cash Please
You dig, BYO shovel and container to transport home, some damp newspaper is a good idea too.
Tons of Nugget and Triple Pearl. Lesser quantities of Centennial, Cashmere, Cascade and Chinook...maybe a few Ultra hiding out there too.🙊
For those that don't know: hops are a hardy, perennial, climbing bine (not a typo). * meaning the climbing portion of the plant dies back each year.
They are great to shade patios etc-- and are easy to care for in a casual growth setting.
They are happy to grow in planters or pots but can also be planted in the ground *and though they have these Rhizomes; who's job it is to creep off and make a new plant they do not do so like a blackberry say and become a nuisance. They are easy to dig and remove
(as you will learn when you get to work collecting yours😉🤠
Thanks
Just text to arrange a meeting up.
