Where's the sign........?
Some have begun to ask me effective today, where the heck the sign is on the building. Well......let me tell you.
Covid 19 has been a life pivot. I found myself in a fortunate position, with a few life choices as to how to execute the business plan in lite of the pandemic. So I arranged to do a life pivot.
When I came here from western Canada and left my beloved career serving Alberta and British Columbia, it was in itself a major life pivot, to ensure my mom is properly tended too, in her golden years (she calls it something else, that is not suitable for a public forum). You see, I have been quite blessed in many respects, in having a choice or two because of the actions and education I chose as a young person. So I chose to have some fun and make some generally healthy choices along the way. (Except for a night or two in Banff, or on a fishing boat in Bamfield BC.)
So what happens now to the smoothie guy? I actually love smoothies and fresh juice, but with natural ingredients and always with names that a person can actually pronounce and that do not scare people. That means avoiding anything that is too refined as an ingredient and having zero regrets, that anyone being served is getting something healthier than what they are generally used to.
Going forward the business is very much intact, with the direction changing to seasonal barring some nudges that I consider expanding how this may be offered. You see, the business plan factored in many things, but did not factor in Covid 19, making it all have to be reworked to ensure that the business model could indeed work, survive and simultaneously make sure my mom was safe. Waiting is a bu**er.......
Watch for us at special events and a seasonal location a few days a week in the Greater Napanee area. I am not sure where that will be yet, but welcome high traffic, decent visibility options that make sense. Alas I am a vet when it comes to the sales and marketing aspects of business. Not so much a paper guy, but I do know how to execute a plan and ensure that a consistent, healthy, tasty product is indeed offered.
So there you have it. As we watch and wait, I keep making smoothies and juice pretty well 5 days a week to test, refine and of course enjoy.
PS. And yes, I loved doing the social distancing style snowman competition and will hopefully get to do something on a larger platform like I am used to, now that the test seems to favour it.
