🍁 Happy Thanksgiving from The Italian Counter! 🍁

It's hard to believe that just last Thanksgiving, we were still busy getting everything ready to open our little shop. And now, here we are, just days away from celebrating our very first anniversary!
Looking back at how far we've come in just one year, we couldn't be more grateful for the incredible support we've received from this wonderful community.
To everyone who has walked through our doors, tried our food, shared a kind word, or recommended us to a friend — thank you from the bottom of our hearts!
We're so grateful to be part of this community, and we can't wait to see what the next year brings.

A little appreciation post for Derek! 😊

If you've stopped by The Italian Counter over the past few months, chances are you've already met him!
Derek joined us back in April, and with his outgoing personality and ever-present smile, he's become a familiar face behind our counter.
Running a small family business means putting a lot of ourselves into what we do, and having someone we can count on makes a real difference.
We're really happy to have him as part of our little team.

With our first anniversary coming up next month, we wanted to create something as a small tribute to the amazing community that welcomed The Italian Counter so enthusiastically from the very beginning.

Apple growing and cheesemaking have deep roots in Greater Napanee and Lennox & Addington, and have been part of the area’s agricultural story for generations. We wanted to take a little inspiration from that heritage and combine it with our Italian roots.

And, naturally, Napanee + panini had to become the Napaneeni 😉.

Made with Italian prosciutto, Ontario aged cheddar, arugula and house-made Ontario apple & hot honey spread.

Sweet, salty, sharp and fresh, with just a little heat.
