We often get asked where everything comes from? And although it’s not all local, the majority is! Across our departments, we prioritize local suppliers. This includes the artisan wares, the cafe goodies and the groceries.

We feature over 200 suppliers from the extended region and it is an honour and privilege to partner with them.

We often say that our business model is about bringing together other businesses and supporting one another. When you shop at Silverton General Store you’re not only supporting our business, but many many others as well 🥰

Plum galettes from The Mountain Artisan BakeShack 💜💜💜

What is a galette you might ask?

A galette resembles a type of single crust, free-form pie with a fruit filling and the crust folded partway over the top of the filling. It’s a French pastry that is often done with seasonal fruit. They are great served warm and we’ve read that they’re nice with ice cream, so perhaps you want to get a mini scoop of vanilla to go with this delicious desert 🤤

We are so grateful to feature so many local suppliers including in our cafe.

Fall hours are now Monday - Saturday 8am-5:30pm

We are so excited to have new stickers and magnets featuring Christopher Lucas’ painting of the store and Lil Blue.

Christopher actually painted the picture before the actual building was finished being painted. Sam H. painted the lower half of the front of building in 2024 and Stephan of Kaslo Painting Services completed the front and North wall this summer.

We absolutely love the new colours of the exterior of the building and we’re so pleased that you can now take an image home with you of Silverton General Store.

So excited for the first week of our produce box subscription program! Thank you to all of our initial subscribers for supporting our business.

It’s not too late to join! You can sign up at any time by contacting us or emailing [email protected]

Subscribers can add two preferences like - no onions, and, please include apples. They can also indicate if they’ll accept local produce that may not be certified organic or if they want their box to only have certified produce.

~ Small box $50
~ Large box $75
Minimum 6 week commitment with the ability to pause due to travel.
