As we wind down for the season we are inviting local gardeners to take a share of the compost we produced in 2025. Please pre-order and bring your own containers.

Our business composting program is done for the year and we are distributing compost from 2025. Priority goes to people locally who are growing food and who have helped MASH to deliver our programs. This is what an amateur video looks like take one!

Such an epic day of Apple pressing in New Hazelton at Allan Park! 213 litres in four hours - that is a new record for us! There was an incredible gathering of appreciative and helpful locals today and we could not have made this event happen without all those extra helping hands . We’re getting set up for Apple pressing today at Allan Park in New Hazelton! We’ve got seven people with appointments between 2 PM and 6 PM but we might be able to squeeze in a few small boxes of apples if you’re wondering!

Happening this afternoon!

Join us at a demonstration site near you, and learn about the Common Field Project: Crop Demonstrations for Climate Elasticity. The project is exploring the viability of new crops, including camelina, teff, faba beans, sweet corn and dry-farming squash (pumpkins). The project team will provide an overview of the project, hear from the farm partner about their interest in these crops along with a guided field tour, and discuss some climate and weather decision tools that may be helpful for your operation.

When and Where:
September 1st – 1p.m. to 3p.m. in McBride
September 8th – 4p.m. to 6p.m. in Kispiox Valley

Additional events in Quesnel and Vanderhoof are currently being planned, and dates will be confirmed shortly.
