JS Performance Horses is located by Newbrook AB, about an hour north east of Edmonton. We have a small broodmare band that are producing top quality performance prospects. These mares have some of the top cutting and cowhorse bloodlines. The foals are suited to the performance arena as well as the ranch. Came out to feed and look what I found!

Perfect filly by Hendrixx out of our Holidoc daughter, Twist.

But mares I tell you. We checked her just about every hour last night. Justin came home just over an hour ago and said she was in the pasture. She apparently decided to walk into the shelter, lay down and have a baby while we ate supper!

June 2nd we welcomed this flashy boy! A Bay roan stud c**t by Ivory League out of Jett our Blue Valentine mare

Delivery was a little scary. We had checked her at 1 am and she had a waterbag. We left her for 30 minutes and I went out to check her. I was expecting to see a foal on the ground but I found a tired mare with little progress. She had 2 feet but around the baby's head I am pretty sure was what they call a red bag delivery. Called reinforcements to get chains and what not. She ended up standing up and laying back down and we were able to get chains on and pull this guy out quick and he was alive!

After that little bit of chaos, he has hit milestones and seems to be doing well. We turned him and Jett out to the pasture with the other 2 mares and foals this morning.
