It is with a heavy heart that we announce the closure of Supermoon Japanese Style Cheesecakes in Newmarket, effective July 1st. The economic challenges we have faced have made it unsustainable for us to continue operating. We are not alone in this struggle; we join the ranks of nearly 200,000 businesses across the country that have had to make this difficult decision.
When we first opened Supermoon, our mission was not just to bring the unique taste of Japanese-style cheesecakes to Newmarket but also to give back to our wonderful community. Throughout our journey, we have remained committed to this goal. Even as we close our doors, we take take pride in making sure our last act was to drop off some cakes and minimoons to the Newmarket Food Pantry community fridge.
We extend our deepest gratitude to our incredible community, loyal customers, and dedicated employees. Your unwavering support and belief in our vision have been the backbone of our business. We have cherished every moment, every smile, and every connection we have made along the way.
As one door closes, another opens. As entrepreneurs, we understand the ebb and flow of business. We remain focused and committed to creating new opportunities within our community. This is not the end but rather a new beginning. We look forward to continuing our journey with the same spirit of giving and community involvement that has always driven us.
