🌲 BLACKBURN FIELD NOTES: MEET OUR NEIGHBOUR, HEARTLAND FOREST Heartland Forest

Sometimes the best places to explore are right next door.

Just a 2-minute walk from Blackburn, Heartland Forest Nature Experience is one of our favourite neighbours — more than 200 acres of Carolinian forest, wetlands and green space tucked away here in Niagara Falls.

With 4 km of easy-access trails, boardwalks, observation decks, pollinator gardens, wildlife habitats and even an accessible treehouse, it’s a place built for slowing down, getting outside and enjoying Niagara’s natural side. Admission to the trails and park is free.

And because they’re literally our neighbour, there’s an easy way to make a day of it:

🌿 Wander Heartland Forest
🍺 Walk over to Blackburn
🍴 Grab a drink and something to eat
☀️ Settle into the patio and keep the afternoon going
