Over the years there has been many exciting changes on the farm including new crops, a new packing facility and re-tooling of custom fabrication shop, offering their services to other local growers and businesses. Nelson and Corbin operate 400 acres of peaches, nectarines, pears, seedless grapes and asparagus in Niagara-on-the-Lake and Norfolk County, Ontario.

🌱🐷 Nothing goes to waste on the farm! 🐷🌱

One farmer’s leftovers are another animal’s feast! After harvesting our fresh asparagus, the woody cut-off ends don’t have a use —but they certainly don’t go unused. Our neighbouring pigs are more than happy to help us put these nutritious scraps to good use!

It’s a great example of how agriculture works together to reduce waste and make the most of every harvest. From field to market, and even to the pig pen, every part has a purpose. ♻️💚

We love seeing local farming come full circle—and judging by the excitement in this video, these pigs agree! 🐽

Have you ever wondered what happens to produce that doesn't make it to the market stand? Here's one tasty answer!

Sunday: 10am–3pm

Fresh, local, and picked at their peak — but they won't last long! Stop by and stock up on your taste of Ontario summer. ☀️🍓

🌳🚜 Finally!

After what felt like weeks of waiting on the weather, the ground has finally dried up enough for us to get back in the field and continue planting new orchard blocks.

Every tree planted today is an investment in harvests for years to come. While these young trees may look small now, they'll eventually be loaded with juicy peaches, sweet nectarines, and delicious pears.

A few fun Ontario fruit facts! 🍑🍐👇

🍑 Peach and nectarine trees are actually very closely related—nectarines are essentially peaches without the fuzzy skin!

☀️ Ontario's warm summer days and cool nights help develop the incredible sweetness and flavour that make local peaches and nectarines so special.

🍐 Pears are one of the few fruits that are picked before they're fully ripe. They finish ripening off the tree, which helps protect their delicate texture and flavour.

🌸 A single fruit tree can produce thousands of blossoms each spring, but only a small percentage will become fruit.

🐝 Bees are essential orchard workers! Without pollinators visiting those pear blossoms, there would be very little fruit to harvest. Peaches and nectarines however, are self pollinating.

It's exciting to think that the trees we're planting today will be producing fruit for decades to come. Here's hoping for plenty of sunshine, growing weather, and future harvests! 🌳❤️
