We received the most beautiful testimonial today about a custom herbal tea blend:

"I was recently introduced to the charming gentlemen who own this farm and business. I went with my sister (who knows them) and my mother. Was not sure what to expect, it was a sort of open house thing. We walked around a bit, looked at the stuff for sale in the shop, and then sat around and chatted. I am a retired nurse, and 35 years of shift work has made me a long time insomniac who needs enough meds to knock out a horse just to sleep. After about 5 minutes of chatting with Matthew, he casually says “ I could mix you up a tea mixture to help if you like”. I am good with herbal remedies, so sure, let’s try it. He takes me inside, makes sure I have no allergies, and starts putting herbs in a bowl. He tells me this will not put me to sleep, but it will help to calm my brain so I can shut it off to be able to fall asleep. Now this gentleman has obviously listened to the conversation the group had, understood what my issue was, and mixed me a tea blend specifically for my issue.

Not only am I sleeping so much better, but I am reducing the amount of pharmaceutical meds I am using. I have already returned for more of his tea blend, and will continue to do so. I just wish I had met him years ago lol. Thank you Matthew, you have really changed my life. ❤️"

🌿✨ Magic of Nature ✨🌿
This weekend was spent out on the land, gathering gifts from nature – Mullein, Cedar, Sumac, Yarrow, and Mugwort – all of which were carefully crafted into our handmade Smoke Cleansing Bundles. 🌾🍃

For centuries, cultures around the world have used sacred smoke as part of ceremonies to cleanse a space, set intentions, offer blessings, or mark a fresh beginning. Exciting things are buzzing at Sugar Bones Farm… our new bees have arrived! 🥳

This week, Matthew suited up in his beekeeper suit and carefully transferred a small starter colony, called a nucleus colony (or nuc), into its new home. In the photo, he's holding a brood box—the part of the hive where the queen lays her eggs and the baby bees grow. 🐣🐝

You can think of a nuc as a tiny bee family. It already has a queen, hardworking worker bees, baby bees developing in the comb, and enough food to get started. By moving them into a larger hive, they have room to grow and thrive.

Out in the fields, the bees are already busy visiting flowers like poppies and bladder campion, collecting pollen and nectar. As they fly from bloom to bloom, they help pollinate plants, making it possible for many flowers, fruits, and vegetables to grow. 🌸🍎

🐝 Fun fact: A single honey bee can visit thousands of flowers in a single day!
