Greetings you ๐ฅ Fine Folks ๐ฅ on wind swept, rainy Manitoulin ๐๐จ๐ง
Well, we knew it was coming, and now it's finally here! The bluster! The fallen leaves! The frosty mornings! ๐
I'll be honest tho, being in the bakery at this time of year *is* extra delightful ๐๐ฅฐ.
Pulling fragrant, fresh sourdough loaves out of hot ovens in the warm bakery while the rain pours down outside is *p e a k* cozy! ๐ค ๐ฅฐ
We have loads of loaves happening for you this weekend ๐ - classic, toasted sesame, rye, cinnamon raisin, and this weekend's special - maple syrup and walnut. We also have two types of focaccia by the slice - baked wild apple and turbinado sugar, and confit pearl onion with a balsamic glaze. Plus, $5 cups of mulled cider, a selection of tasty sammies, oh so soft pretzels, grocery items, and local bevs!
FYI: Our last day of service will be *next Sunday, October 26,* while we take a pause for November ๐. We'll be BACK in *December* with holiday NG classics you may remember, like New Grain's hefty tourtiรจre, and soft stollen bread with candied citrus and powdered sugar ๐. We'll also be restocking on Northern Ontario cheeses, smoked meats and fish - and of course lots and lots of sourdough - to make your holiday spreads shine with delicious and local food made with love! ๐
But in the meantime, come on out! Brave the weather, take in the comfort, and stock up on your favourites before we close for a bit. Our sourdough is *very freezer friendly - slice 'er up, pop it in the freezer, and toast a slice in the morning. It'll taste as though you just bought it.
