At the last minute Tuesday night, we decided we better start planting Wednesday, so that’s what we did!

🍓 Did you know? Strawberry plants are kind of magical.

Last summer, while you weren't looking, strawberry plants were already getting ready for this year. Tucked inside its woody little centre, it quietly formed flower buds — like sending a love letter to spring.

Now that the warmth is back, those buds are wide awake. The plant skips straight to making flowers (sometimes before the leaves even catch up!) and within just a few weeks of consistent sunshine, it goes from "sleepy" to absolutely thriving. ✨

Nature's been planning this moment for months. 🍓

Okay let's be real — if you're looking at this photo right now you are probably thinking ‘there’s no way the fields are ready for planting yet' 😂

And you are not wrong!
What you are looking at is the VERY beginning of what will eventually be the most beautiful strawberry filled field in Manitoba this summer — we just need a little more time, a lot of sunshine and maybe a few good weather wishes on our behalf! ☀️

We are a homegrown strawberry farm located just outside of Oakville, Manitoba and we are SO excited to welcome you out to the farm this summer! Whether you are coming out for a fun family day, stocking up for jam making or just because you cannot resist a fresh picked Manitoba strawberry — we are your people. 🍓❤️

We offer U-Pick and Pre-Pick strawberries and we are conveniently located just 5.5km south of the Hwy 1 and Hwy 13 junction — easy to get to from Winnipeg, Portage, Elm Creek and all the surrounding areas!

Interested in a flexible summer job, working outside and sampling some delicious Manitoba strawberries? Consider applying to help us this summer!

📋 Requirements:
• Must be 13 years or older
• Email us a simple resume with 1 reference
• Application deadline: Sunday, April 5th

🕒 Hours Available:
• June: 1–2 hours, 2–3 days/week (evenings & weekends)
• July: 3–6 hour shifts (mornings mainly)
• Flexible scheduling — choose the days and hours that work for you

🍓 What you’ll be doing:
• Weeding
• Picking berries
• General hands-on farm work

📍 Located just 2 miles south of Oakville
