I couldn’t let Easter go by without making a few treats. Easter tarts - almond pâté sucrée, pear butter, almond frangipane, white chocolate ganache topping, chocolate nests, fondant flowers.
Easter lavender and lemon shortbread cookies. Giveaways for neighbours & customers. Easter everyone! 🐰

Signed up for the tutorial because I wanted to make this cake, purely for purposes of making the cute gingerbread house! . Made my own cake recipe though. It’s a moist gingerbread cake layered with cream cheese brown butter icing, topped with a crunchy pecan nut praline and Swiss meringue buttercream on the outside. I absolutely loved this flavour combo & will definitely make this one again!

It’s been a while since I have made a cake for my patient husband! This should have happened for a milestone birthday last December but only got around to it now! 2022 was a roller coaster ride! Saw this novel “comic book” style cake idea on Instagram & just had to try it. Last bake for a while before a kitchen revamp! Happy Birthday to my darling! 💗

I loved the sunny feel of this 30th Birthday cake 🌸 ordered for a special daughter! Three layer vanilla cake with real strawberry buttercream filling and covered in white chocolate Italian meringue. Fondant flowers, wafer paper butterfly, sugarveil leaves & hand cut fondant 30!

Nar....whaaaa? This cute girl asked for a narwhal 🐳 birthday cake! I think the different effect I used on the side worked quite well! The 4 layer cake was Gluten free and had a blueberry icing inside, covered with a white chocolate Italian meringue buttercream icing. Happy Birthday Ivy!

It’s all dark chocolate! 3 layer chocolate cake made with organic Dutch processed cocoa, layered with Belgian chocolate icing and covered in Chocolate Cloud Italian meringue buttercream! This buttercream is so much nicer than the usual Italian meringue buttercream which to me is like eating a stick of butter. Not as sweet as the American frosting, but very chocolatey and incredibly smooth. The white chocolate version is also delish!

Happy Birthday to you! This cake was ordered by someone in South Africa for her special, and super creative friend, in Toronto! Layers of hazelnut and vanilla cake with browned butter and hazelnut icing. White chocolate meringue buttercream covering. Pink chocolate brushstrokes, fondant cosmos flower. Feels like Springtime! 🌸
