Here at DEEP SPUTH DAIRY GOATS we run a l herd of dairy goats that we raise replacement stock for ourselves and others , along with milking them to create many different products with the milk.

Wicked kidded today, with a buck and doe by Pat. She hasn’t been very fruitful with doe kids in all the years she been here so this one is staying. I was also hoping for a buck kid from her and Pat. She is the heaviest milking Legacy daughter I’ve ever had and 1 of 2 left. She doesn’t have the most showy mammary system but it’s super functional and PRODUCTIVE. She a tall doe that is a mile long with loads of depth and spring of rib. I’m going to tuck this buck kid away for future use. 👌

We’re still kidding… Yoli kidded with set of BIG, LONG, FANCY twins, one of each. Kids are sired by Pat and the doe kid will not be leaving this place anytime soon. The buck kid can be available if anyone is looking this late in the year 🙈

Dam: Deep South TGJ Whisper VG84

This doeling has a tremendous set of legs on her, loads of eye appeal, super tidy and tight made with lots of width between the hocks!

Her dam is really nice long bodied doe with a nice uphill long level topline. She milks very well, with a large office and super soft pliable mammary. She peaked at 5 litres last year as a FF and settled off to 4. These are just my own barn measurements, unfortunately didn’t do any milk testing last year. Either way she still a super milky doe that did it with ease!

The sire is backed by a solid strong foundation of alpines that have proven themselves ten fold in Canada.

The kid is being raised on pasteurized/powdered milk. She can be transported via flight or ground anywhere.

I’m going too finally keep me a buck kid from Yolanda. I’ve been waiting for the right cross and I really feel like this one will be the one to use. Now granted it’s tough when the majority of the doe herd is off the Y line but my future idea of line breeding will allow him to fit in just “right”!
