The Jenny Newell Fundraising Tasting

Join us for a very special whisky tasting in honour of a very special human.

Jenny Newell - dear friend, mentor, and heart of our whisky community - has given so much of herself to all of us over the years. In the face of an unimaginable diagnosis, we want to come together and show her just how deeply she’s loved.

This fundraising tasting will feature an incredible lineup (including two 40+ year whiskies) with 100% of proceeds going directly to Jenny and Rainer’s “Gift of Time” GoFundMe, helping their family focus on what matters most — time together.

In addition to the tasting, we’ll be hosting a Bottle Raffle, with unopened bottles generously donated by individuals and organizations in our community.
• Bottle Raffle tickets are available only with a tasting ticket
• You’re welcome (and encouraged) to purchase multiple entries
• Winners are limited to one bottle each, so the love gets shared
• All Bottle Raffle proceeds also go directly to the GoFundMe
• Bottle Raffle tickets will be sold at the event - cash only

This night is about gratitude, generosity, and raising a glass for someone who has lifted so many of us.

When we started the Okanagan Whisky Enthusiasts a couple of years ago, one of our goals was to try and bring to our members some of the best whiskies in the world but also some of the best people that represent them.
Last night was exactly that. Thank you so very much for taking the time to give us insights into what makes so special in the whisky world and the family values that are at the heart of what you do.

The O.W.E. had the pleasure of having Canadian Whisky Expert , Davin de Kergommeaux, join us for his book release and a special night of Canadian Whisky.

Davin was entertaining, gracious and incredibly knowledgeable. It was honour to have him present for us.

The whiskies put the spotlight on Canadian distilleries both new and old and helped highlight just how diverse Canadian Whisky can be.

There were many great whiskies and among them was an older bottling of Canadian Club distilled in 1972.
