And that’s a wrap on the 4H year 🍀... Ella would like to thank Olds Fertilizers for purchasing her steer Chuck. Louis would like to pass on his thanks to Howell's Excavating Ltd for buying his steer Roy.

Thank you to all the other bidders and buyers who came out to make this year a success! This club, with the help of some generous sponsors, was able to raise over $30,000 for the Mountain View Emergency Shelter Society Outreach. Amazing work kids!

Raising cattle has been in the Latimer blood for generations and it always will be. This industry has provided us with so much… it has allowed us to raise a hardworking family and taught us many lessons over the years. But as life moves on, perspectives and goals shift and there comes a time where you realize you’re ready for a change. It is with mixed emotions that we announce our complete herd dispersal will take place on November 19th, 2024. Mark your calendars as this is a huge opportunity to acquire some elite angus genetics.

Monday was an emotional day for us… even though sale days are always stressful, Gary loved them. The first one without him was tough. 💔But we made it through … And now that the dust has almost settled around here, we’d like to take the opportunity to thank everyone for helping make our sale a success. Whether you were a buyer, bidder (online or in person), a seat filler, beer drinker, sales staff, or forced family help 🤣… we truly appreciate you all! We had a beautiful day, a delicious meal and lots of support from our customers. We are very grateful for all of it. THANK YOU!

Sale lunch prep has required a pep talk including the phrase, “No one has ever, in the history of the world died from spinning lettuce…”. The reply was, “Well, there’s always a first.” 🤣. Despite the odd bit of grumbling, our kids are very good help and take on a lot of jobs. However, after three games of hockey this weekend she’d rather be laying on the couch… Get the work done first, then we’ll rest kiddo. Come to the sale tomorrow, if only for Ella’s caesar salad - it’s clearly made with love 😆.
