New This Week! 🍐🍎

Bosc and Anjou pears have officially arrived, along with the beginning of our 40 lb apple case sales!

Unfortunately, we experienced a significant loss to our apple crop this season. Quantities will be very limited, and we have had to remove apple cases from our pre-order form as we are unable to accommodate advance orders.

Apple cases will be available at our stands while supplies last, so be sure to stop by early! It looks like our apple season will be much shorter than usual this year.

We appreciate your understanding and look forward to seeing you! 🍎

Peach pre-orders are back or a limited time! 🍑

Our fall fruits are beginning to roll in, which means peach season is slowly coming to an end! 🍂

We estimate we have approximately 1–2 weeks remaining for peach cases, with Glohaven and Cresthaven Freestones currently in full swing! Availability may vary by location as we get closer to the end of the season.

And some good news! Due to the number of messages we’ve received, we have reopened peach pre-orders for a limited time! 🍑

Pre-orders are OPEN NOW until Saturday evening - or until we reach our order maximum, whichever comes first.

Peaches are one of our most popular summer staples, so be sure to get your order in or stop by your local Fortunato Fruits truck soon before they’re gone for another year!

What’s that “dust” on your fruit? 🍎

Have you noticed a soft, dusty-looking coating on later plums, prune plums, table grapes, or some fall apples?

Don’t wipe it away - it’s completely natural!

This coating is called “bloom,” a natural layer produced by the fruit itself. It acts as a protective shield, helping reduce moisture loss, protect the fruit’s skin, and keep it fresh.

That beautiful dusty coating is actually a good thing! Bloom can easily rub off during picking, packing, and handling, so seeing it often means your fruit has been handled with care.

And yes - it’s natural and safe to eat! There’s no need to wipe the bloom off before enjoying your fruit. If you prefer, you can always give your fruit a quick rinse before eating.

Just another little way Mother Nature helps protect your favourite fall fruits! 🍇🍎
