MBR n Farm Raising rabbits, sheep and goats on a happy homestead all while sharing the journey!

Some rabbits dig little holes. This one apparently submitted a full construction plan. 😂🐰 There’s something hilarious about how determined rabbits can be once they decide a particular spot needs renovating. Digging is part of their natural behavior, but watching them take it this seriously is another story.

There’s still a handful of baby giant buns looking for homes and they are now ready to go. One ermine 🩷 and five 🩵 2 REW and 3 light grey

The 🩷 is ermine aka frosty which is not colour correct. Shes white with brown eyes and will breed similar to a fawn but has the Cchd gene which basically bleaches the fawn colouring out. She will also make a great pet as she’s the most outgoing of the group!

YOUR GOAT'S NOSE IS TALKING

Spot-on for daily farm checks. A goat’s nasal discharge is one of the fastest early warning signs you have before things get serious.

• WHAT NASAL DISCHARGE COLOR MEANS

1. CLEAR-NORMAL AND HEALTHY

A little clear, watery mucus is normal. It also shows up with mild dust, heat stress, or hay irritation.

°》ACTION
No treatment. Just monitor.

2. WHITE-EARLY WARNING

Thick white mucus is often the first sign of a respiratory infection or allergies.

°》ACTION
Monitor closely. Check for other signs. Separate if it gets worse.

3. YELLOW-INFECTION PROGRESSING

Yellow means pus is forming. Usually points to a bacterial infection taking hold.

°》ACTION
Call your vet. This stage often needs antibiotics under veterinary guidance.

4. GREEN-SERIOUS BACTERIAL INFECTION

Green, thick discharge often means pneumonia or severe illness.

°》ACTION
Vet attention urgently. Green is not a “wait and see” color.

5. BROWN-DEAD CELLS, DIRT, OR DRIED BLOOD

Brown/rust-colored mucus signals a *serious condition* — could be lung damage, necrosis, or chronic infection.

°》ACTION
Consult your vet immediately.

6. BLACK/GREY-SEVERE OR ENVIRONMENTAL

Black/grey can mean severe infection, smoke/pollution exposure, or inhaled foreign particles.

°》ACTION
Vet urgently. Check your housing for smoke, mold, or dust issues too.

• DON’T JUST LOOK AT THE NOSE – WATCH THESE TOO

Nasal color alone doesn’t diagnose. Always check the whole goat:
- Fever – Hot ears, high temp
- Coughing/Sneezing – Respiratory distress
- Loss of Appetite – Goats off feed = red flag
- Lethargy – Standing alone, dull, weak
- Difficulty Breathing – Fast breathing, open-mouth, grunting

If discharge + 2 or more of these show up, it’s time to involve a vet.

• COMMERCIAL FARMER’S RULE OF THUMB

~Clear = Monitor
~White = Watch closely
~Yellow/Green/Brown/Black = Vet call

Catching it at “white” saves you drugs, dead stock, and lost kids later. Waiting for “green” costs money.

°》DISCLAIMER
This guide is general information only. If symptoms persist or worsen, contact your veterinarian.

☆》Quarantine checks, daily pen walks, and nose checks are how commercial farmers protect profit. The nose tells you early.

Nigerian dwarf babies. Both parents are registered but offering the two smaller babies in this video unregistered.

All livestock originally purchased from clean tested herds only and then I keep a closed and spot tested herd thereafter.

Ready around 8-10 weeks at about July 17th

One doeling- brown eyes
One buckling (can be wethered) - blue eyes

Both parents come from great milking lines and are both moonspotted. I hope and expect to see moonspots come through on these two from Lily
