Busy weekend! Picked 50lbs tomatoes, 111lbs potatoes, 42lbs carrots and a few pounds of beets that the voles didn't get. Still more to pick but the body can only take so much. I also canned 20pints pickled beets and 6 pints pickled beans. Next day off will be spent pickling carrots.

Super excited for my new toy! I have wanted a water timer for years but it's never been a priority until yesteday when I got a smoking deal on this one! No more draging hoses all over twice a day! Just set and forget, only need a couple more hoses to get to the other 2 zones.

Just hanging out with the pigs while their water barrel fills and the boys dig holes. Feels good to have a bit of a "slower" day today.

Meet Daisy! This girl thinks she's a goat and climbs all over her pen. She also loves having a good scratch and a belly rub. This is how we like to raise all our animals so that they can be handled easily.

This guy/gal was just hanging out in our field yesterday. Loons cannot take off from land and we are not sure how it ended up there. It was very watchful of me when I went to check on it. I then went and stomped the weeds down at the lake about 50ft from where it was, then I left it alone. When I next came out to check it was gone so I am hopeful that it made its way back to the lake.

Beautiful morning! So thankful for the rain yesterday and we are hopeful that this cooler weather helps with the fires.
