Maverick Farms farm shop is OPEN tomorrow, Saturday May 23 and we can’t wait to see you! 10-4 at the farm, 6872 Fawn Lake Road! All the goodies, but no bread sorry! In all our business I forgot to reorder! So sorry! But we are fully stocked with grass fed dairy, delicious meats raised right here on the farm, local ice cream and honey! And SO MUCH MORE!

You asked.. we answered! Our one of a kind chicken is BACK and available for pre order. $7/lb pre order, you save $0.50/lb vs buying in our farm store. We aren’t kidding, this’ll be some of the best chicken you’ve EVER had.

These birds are raised outside as nature intended, with ample space to free range, and top quality care, including protection from our very special guardian dog, Kuma, to avoid the need for containment. They are fed an organically grown, specialized feed mix that contains no corn, soy or canola, all ingredients that have had negative affects on consumers health.

Send us a message to preorder some of these amazing chickens. Our next batch is going for processing in June, our second batch is July and our final batch is October. You won’t be sorry!

Thank you to everyone who visits our store! With the ever changes rules, costs and regulations it really feels like the small farmer is not welcome anymore … you change that! Your dollars are your vote! Would you prefer to have no local choice, be reliant on grocery stores, major supply chains, and industrially raised meat? If not, come out and visit your local farm! No minimum spend, no requirement to spend anything. Just your presence supports us! And if you like what we are doing here at Maverick Farms, we’d love to one day be apart of your families meal time.

We are doing a POLL!

Who would be interested in farm tours with educational information, fun facts and lots of animal interactions?? We are considering organizing a monthly tour day for people to come to the farm, socialize with the animals in a petting zoo style experience, then tour the farm with one of the owners, learning about how and why we manage our farm the way we do. A perfect day out with the family, or for anyone interested in farming, homesteading or animal keeping in the Cariboo - or simply in where their food is coming from! With food on the grill available, fun activities for the kiddos, our farm store, and more.

Please leave feedback on this idea and other things you’d like to see at the farm this summer!!

8 years ago we welcomed the first dairy cow to the farm. Now, all those years later, we have 3 beautiful gals, and 2 more coming up in the next couple of years who will be joining the fold. We love being able to drink REAL milk in a world where real food is hard to come by. 🥳🤠
