Stony Mountain Farm A little ranch in the South Cariboo selling at farmers markets from the Cariboo to lower mainland

Stony Mountain Farm is a small-scale farm which was born in the picturesque Squamish Valley back in 2008. In summer of 2021, we relocated to our new ranch in Buffalo Creek BC approx 20 minutes north/east of 100 Mile House. We raise a small flock of laying hens for eggs, farrow to finish heritage pork, heritage chicken and holiday turkeys during the warmer months. We also have a growing herd of Ice

landic sheep with lamb, fibre and pelts planned to be available in the future. All our animals are raised on pasture or a combination of pasture and woodland and fed certified organic or non-gmo feed made locally. In summer 2022 we will be producing our own hay and hope to produce some of our own grains in the future. Our belief in whole animal butchery lead to the development of lard based soap made by Tracy as well as our prepared foods line made by Salt and Thyme in Langley. You can find our products either via our online shop www.localline.ca/stony-mountain-farm and at farmers markets throughout the sea to sky corridor (Squamish and Pemberton) and the lower mainland.

Our pasture raised chicken is restocked and we’re heading back to markets on the coast this weekend!!!!

Customers wanted it so we had the most amount of chickens ever put into cuts!!!! We have tonnes of chickens breasts, thighs, drumsticks and wings available plus more whole chickens. This week also find our chicken frames on sale for 15% off. These are awesome for making broth or soups

Online ordering also available with cut off Thursday at 8pm. Pemberton and Coquitlam customers we have a pick up option available for you on the online shop 😊

I haven’t taken many photos this week or posted much but things have been happening here…..

Hens are still enjoying the green pasture
Pigs are being pigs
Sheep are ranging
Chickens headed to market today
Hay has been stacked for winter

Tomorrow (Friday August 14) I’ll be at the South Cariboo Farmers Market from 9-2 in downtown 100 Mile House! I’ll have some fresh eggs, a massive selection of heritage pork, whole chickens and assorted lard based soaps ☺️

Trout Lake customers I’m hopeful I’ll be seeing you again soon! I’m just waiting to hear if there maybe space available off the cancellation list for this Saturday and we’re hoping to be there more regular during the fall 🤞

Also our pasture raised whole chickens PLUS a massive assortment of our delicious heritage pork.

And try our new Ancestral Blend Ground Pork……our delicious ground pork with 10% heart and liver added for extra nutrients

We also have a large selection of our Lard Based Soaps made using leftover fat from our market pigs

For our Trout Lake shoppers I’ve already been in contact with with market manager this week and they’re currently full but I’m still hopeful I maybe able to pick sometimes off the cancellation list 🤞🤞🤞 I’ll let you know if I do……my biggest regret this season was not applying for the market back in January……notes taken for the coming year 😉
