I honestly can’t believe you’re 16 already. Watching you grow into the person you are today has been one of the greatest joys of my life. You are kind, thoughtful, smart, determined, and so deeply loved.

I hope this year brings you unforgettable memories, big adventures, amazing friendships, karaoke car rides, and every opportunity you dream of. You have so much ahead of you, and I couldn’t be more proud of you.

Did you know that on Sundays I fully switch gears, leave the homestead, and spend the day with my great friend Sara, singing, laughing, and cooking?
We have a blast together while we pump out weekly menu items to pack up and deliver to your door the same day.
We serve all of ottawa (Stittsville to Orleans) and even some of the surrounding areas in south end (Wi******er, Mountain, Kemptville & Merrickville areas too!).

Everything is made from scratch using high quality ingredients and includes breakfast items, snacks, salads, and family meals. We offer dairy-free and gluten-free options, so people like me with restrictions don't have to miss out!

🌞I'm so grateful that yesterday was my day off and it was so beautiful outside. (Unlike this afternoon where I feel like I need to click my heels three times and proclaim that there's no place like home)

🫐I made a trade with a client for some blueberry bushes. She needed elderberry and I have that a plenty. I needed more blueberries, and she had plans to remove hers. It was perfectly meant to be.
I got half of the blueberries planted thanks to the sage advice from (if you haven't checked out her pages you should. She's lovely and has great advice!)
🌪I ran out of peat moss but picked some up last night with plans to plant the rest today. Although now I think that will end up looking like a wild woman (me) caught in a dust storm, losing her mind trying to keep it all under control in the wind. Maybe later on 🤞

🌿I thinned my raspberry canes (if you haven't done this yet, stop reading and go now!) and tried to make the patch manageable while still allowing for continued growth.

🧄I am also happy to report the garlic is growing like gangbusters (what does that actually mean anyway?? Pleade comment if you knkw the origins), and most importantly, it's clothesline season again!!! My fave!! 🥳

🦜All of this was accomplished alongside my little parrot. She didn't help much really but I did enjoy hearing her sweet little sounds as she responded to hearing the wild birds and basking in the sunshine. She made new sounds that I've never heard before. I'm pretty sure she quite liked it all.

All in all it was a great day! I hope yours was too. 🥰

🏋️‍♂️ 405 LBS. AT 15 YEARS OLD.
I don't have enough words to describe how proud I am of this kid. Today my son hit a 405 lb PR back squat in powerlifting — and he is only 15 years old. 🤯
At the beginning of the year he set a goal of 420lbs, and he is well on his way!
The hard work every day after school, the discipline, the dedication — it is ALL paying off. Watching him chase his goals and crush them one by one is one of the greatest gifts of my life.
Keep going, baby. The sky is the limit. 💪❤️
