Attention gardeners, plant lovers, and people who swore they’d plant “next weekend” 🌱

Our seedling sale is still going strong, and there are LOTS of beautiful vegetable, herb, and flower seedlings left to choose from!

Everything is:
🌿 Organic
🌿 Locally grown
🌿 Ready to thrive now that frost season has finally packed its bags

It’s not too late to plant, your tomatoes believe in you! 🍅

And a little zero-waste reminder ♻️
We happily take back our pots and plant labels for reuse! Just ours, though. Please don’t bring us a rogue collection of random plant pots from every garden centre in Ontario ⛔️🙃

This is the week we’ve all been waiting for 🌱

Our Summer and Regular Season CSA is officially starting, and we’re so excited to welcome you back (and welcome new members!) for another season of fresh, local food!

A quick note for CSA members: you should have received a welcome email yesterday with all the important instructions and details for the season. If you don’t see it, be sure to check your spam or junk folder just in case.

The weeks ahead will be filled with the very best of the season, and there’s something special about watching it unfold together, week by week 🍅🥬🍆🥦🌶️🥒

Thank you for choosing local, for supporting small-scale farming, and for trusting us with your food 💞

We can’t wait to get started!

Not a CSA member? We'd still love to see you in the Farm Store! We're open to everyone Thursdays 11-6, Fridays 11-4, and Saturdays 9-3

The greenhouse is looking beautiful! 😍

The cucumbers are picking up speed, and the very first slicer tomatoes are only days away!

Last week, the first cherry tomatoes and cucumbers of the season made their debut in the Farm Store, and over the next few weeks the harvests will keep growing. Before long, we’ll all be swimming in fresh summer veggies!

Who else is dreaming about that first sweet, juicy tomato sandwich of the season? 👋🍅

Our Summer and Regular Season CSA programs start THIS WEEK, and there’s still time to join in! Visit the website or stop by the Farm Store to learn more:

This week we’re shining a spotlight on Tokyo Bekana 💚

If you haven’t tried it before, this leafy Asian green is a bit of a hidden gem. It’s a type of cabbage with a super mild, fresh flavour—and honestly, that bright, vibrant green is hard to beat!

Tokyo Bekana grows quickly in cool spring weather and produces tender, crinkly leaves that are as versatile as they are beautiful. The big outer leaves make great wraps, while the inner leaves are soft and perfect for salads, stir-fries, or a quick sauté.

To store, keep it in a plastic or reusable container in the fridge and it will stay fresh for about a week.

Give this recipe a shot and let us know what you think!

Tokyo Bekana Miso Slaw

3 T miso
3 T rice wine vinegar
1 T tamari
1 ½ T maple syrup
1 head tokyo bekana
Additional veggies such as onion, kohlrabi, green onion, apple or microgreens
-
Add all dressing ingredients in a jar and stir.

Thinly slice all veg and add miso dressing.

Enjoy!
