Haskap season is here! These berries are packed with nutrients and contain higher levels of antioxidants than blueberries. Their tart flavor can take a little creativity to fully appreciate, but they are wonderfully versatile.
Besides eating them fresh, you can add haskaps to smoothies, make jam, or mix them into yogurt. This morning, I stirred some raw haskap purée with honey into my homemade cashew yogurt—it was absolutely delicious!
Enjoy this short but wonderful haskap season while it lasts!
