May in a nutshell... spring is in full swing around here!

The birds are slowly laying some beautiful rainbows. There's chicks and chicks-to-be, new calves (including one of our homegrown having her first!), and cows have moved to pasture for the summer. All the rain has brought the greenery and you can't beat the view ❤️

I am officially positive I have the most high maintenance farm animals in the world. They recognize when it is day. Chickens are right up in the boxes as we sort!

My lawn looks like a scene from "The Birds" every day.

Side note, they are not laying eggs in my car but also, they are not laying in the nesting boxes so sometimes I pick up random eggs and don't go into the house right away so the eggs go on tour.

Little number 3 arrived a couple days ago... he was touch and go for the first day, but he's up and eating and pooping (phew!) and adorable!

Like all babies, if they don't thrive in the first 24 hours it becomes a battle to get them on track because they can go downhill very quickly. We are very ready to watch him have the zoomies with the other calves!

Not to brag, but I'm kind of a big deal around here...

I can't go anywhere without something following or greeting or bellowing or jumping with muddy paws at me. Makes you feel loved, but also reminds me of my kids expecting treats every time I walk by... spoiled I think they call it. The animals are spoiled.

The cuteness has doubled!

We're on a vegetable theme this year. The first calf has been named Peppers (her mom is Mushroom), and so D stuck with the theme, and named this one Cucumber.

This little speckled girl is Betty Boop's half sister. The moms are the same cross (Charolais x Angus), but they consistent throw very different coloured calves. Genetics are so cool!

There's a lot of baby zoomies going on with this nice weather!!!
