Our lead stud “Theodore” (Klug Limestone 21F-86) is leaving little doubt that he will continue to have a significant impact on the Canadian Southdown industry! We appreciate the interest that this ram has generated for our flock. While we will be adding his ewe lambs to our flock, we have a few impressive February ram lambs available. Theodore has added consistency in breed character along with length and thickness to our breeding program. Transportation can be arranged across Canada.

As the dust settles on a crazy two weeks, we would like to congratulate all the exhibitors on a very strong Suffolk Show at the 2025 Royal. With help from Courtney Trombley, Lisa Dow and Innovation Media we were able to get candid photos off all our entries. Three D Suffolks had a very successful Suffolk show with the following placings:
3rd and 5th fitted ewe lambs
6th and 7th fitted yearling ewes
3rd and 4th fitted ram lambs
3rd fitted yearling ram
4th place get-of-sire
4th place flock
We appreciate all the interest shown in our animals. Thank you to Rejean Girard, Jim Driscoll, and the crew from Chaldaer Legacy Farm for all the show help. Thank you to Irwin and Spencer Jackson for all the positive comments on our breeding stock.

While this wasn’t the back-drop photo that we had planned on it is one that we will cherish for years to come. Lisa, Travis, and I would like to thank all the exhibitors at the 2025 Royal sheep show for the never-ending support over the weekend. Special thanks to: Kyle and Olivia (and the entire Seguin Sheep Team), Greg Bell, Randy and Kelly Seguin, Courtney Trombley & Chris Monro, Ottawa Valley Suffolks (Justin, Megan, Riley & Waylon), and Mark Comfort (and the team from Comfort Tunis) for not only making sure that our sheep were ready for the ring but for also making the corner of the barn one big family. As judge Spencer Jackson said in his closing remarks “the sheep exhibitors are one big family and after the placings are forgotten, the friendships will last a lifetime”. The Dow’s have been part of this exhibitor family for generations and the tradition continues. While we are proud of the sheep that we exhibited at the Royal, we are even prouder to be part of this amazing group of friends who were able to join us at the back-drop.

Busy week with the Southdowns at Three D Suffolks! The ram lambs have found new homes and we picked up our 4H lamb from Desormeaux Meats Inc in Crysler. This purebred Southdown lamb dressed out at 53 % with ideal fat cover. We had it vacuum sealed and had to include a few pictures which demonstrate the Southdown Advantage!
