Some of the gang who picked up the hundreds of barricades, cones and signs from the Preston Street race course today. Many hands make the metal barricades seem a bit lighter, and it wasn't raining. 3 trucks with 3 crews and we were done by around noon. Huge thanks to all those who did the heavy lifting.

As Ottawa’s oldest bike shop, Fresh Air Experience is run by a tight-knit team of enthusiastic, knowledgeable, and deeply committed cyclists and skiers.

Fun fact: Their founder, Denis Tomlinson, owns one of the largest private collections of unique bikes in Canada—with many of his rare rides featured in exhibits at the Museum of Science and Technology!

Exhibitor Spotlight: Sweet Protection

Did you know that one of the most advanced helmet brands in the peloton started as an illegal skateboard operation?

In the 1990s, the crew behind Sweet Protection was bootlegging skateboards into Norway while they were banned. By 1997, they built their first carbon-fiber helmet for a friend in the Whitewater World Championships. By 2000, a brand was born.
Fast forward to today: they are crafting the safest, most innovative helmets and eyewear available.
