As part of the Government of Canada’s Official Black History Month Celebration for 2026, Chef Resa Solomon-St. Lewis (Baccanalle) is honoured to be featured at a Guest Chef Station at this evening’s reception.
Guests will enjoy a Taste of the Diaspora rice bowl featuring Jollof rice, with a choice of curry goat or black lentil dahl (vegan option). The dish will be nut-free, gluten-free, and Halal-friendly, reflecting Baccanalle’s signature approach to inclusive menus that bring together modern and traditional flavours of Africa and the Caribbean.
Chef Resa Solomon-St. Lewis is an award-winning Chef in the National Capital Region and Founder of Baccanalle, with experience catering for corporate, private, government, diplomatic, and institutional events. She was also selected as a Resident Chef at the National Arts Centre (2025 cohort).
