The extraordinary mix of sample stations, demo stage and product marketplace create excellent opportunities to learn about our Black food culture, engage directly with brands and creators to enhance your supply chain, increase patronage and connect with experts on how to incorporate our culture into your menus and bring it to your customers.

As part of the Government of Canada’s Official Black History Month Celebration for 2026, Chef Resa Solomon-St. Lewis (Baccanalle) is honoured to be featured at a Guest Chef Station at this evening’s reception.

Guests will enjoy a Taste of the Diaspora rice bowl featuring Jollof rice, with a choice of curry goat or black lentil dahl (vegan option). The dish will be nut-free, gluten-free, and Halal-friendly, reflecting Baccanalle’s signature approach to inclusive menus that bring together modern and traditional flavours of Africa and the Caribbean.

Chef Resa Solomon-St. Lewis is an award-winning Chef in the National Capital Region and Founder of Baccanalle, with experience catering for corporate, private, government, diplomatic, and institutional events. She was also selected as a Resident Chef at the National Arts Centre (2025 cohort).

Thank you for supporting us for another year 🙏🏽

From the creativity and collaboration of the .cna Resident Chef program to exceptional teamwork executing on amazing catering engagements for the Black Executive Network and to wonderful markets and festivals - and the iconic official Canada Day celebration at Lebreton Flats, our corporate clients and beautiful weddings - we thank you.

Despite these highs, it was a year of personal struggle for me, including the heartbreaking loss of my very sweet Mother which I continue to try to deal with.

Thank you to my family, team, customers and fans for your support.

My wish for you is that your best year is yet to come!

Farmers Market season is here - we’re so excited for 2025 🤩

We started our business in community and Farmers Markets - we love being a part of the Ottawa Food scene so much that we are even co-located with our friends at Ottawa Street Markets at 1805 Gaspe Avenue!

This season, we are returning with our fan favorites: Freshly made patties, Caribbean style Mac & Cheese, Hibiscus (Sorrel) drinks, sauces, spice blends, tea blends and feature desserts!

Look for us at these markets
• Parkdale Night Market Parkdale Public Market - (full season) Wednesday Nights starting in June

• The Original Navan Market (full season starts May 25th, once a month on Sundays)

• Ottawa Street Markets - various dates and locations starting with their Alta Vista Jazz market on June 13

• Ottawa Farmers' Market - May 4 at Lansdowne/TD Place - look out for our popup dates
