Stray Dog Brewing Company Ottawa's award-winning microbrewery. Deliciously local. Taproom and retail. Orléans' original. Small dogs with big dreams.

The Stray Dog Brewing Company is more than just beer; we represent the spirit of adventure and the courage to pursue the passions that enrich our lives. Many people choose to give up on their dreams because of fear of failure, but yearn for something more. Metaphorically, a lot of us feel chained up in one form or another. These chains can be the result of external forces or self-imposed. The symbolism of a Stray Dog is the will to break free from these chains and venture out into the unknown. It represents freedom and defiance of a life of confinement and taking the risk to do something great even if it means leaving the security of the current life you’re living. The road ahead is unknown, but you’ll never know what possibilities lie ahead unless you venture out.

👻 SPOOKY B**R RELEASE 👻
Boo-Ya! (Spiced Autumn Ale - 5.6% ABV)

Just in time for Thanksgiving weekend, our freakishly festive spiced autumn ale has returned from the grave. Boo-Ya! gets its deep, alluring colour and character from the generous helping of pumpkin puree added to the mash, plus the brown sugar, fresh cinnamon, nutmeg, clove and allspice addition to the boil. Finally, it was conditioned on a ghoulish dose of whole Madagascar vanilla beans for a silky body and light sweetness. The aroma will leap out at you and have you screaming for more. Pairs well with turkey dinner, Halloween candy, or is frightfully delicious on its own.

We have many more great events coming up so keep following our socials.

Next big(ish) one for us...the return of the Chili Cook-off, happening Grey Cup Sunday, Nov 15.

If you didn't get a chance to grab a limited edition stein, we have a handful left for sale and we will even throw in a pretzel with your purchase till supplies last.

NEW B**R RELEASE! 🍺

SCHNITZ AND GIGGLES
Festbier | 5.6% ABV 🥨

Brewed in celebration of Oktoberfest, Schnitz and Giggles is a smooth Festbier crafted with the finest German ingredients. Pilsner, Vienna and Munich malts give it a soft, bready character, while Hallertau Mittelfrüh brings a classic floral and lightly spicy hop finish. Clean, balanced and easy to toss back, it’s the kind of l***r that makes a one-litre stein seem perfectly reasonable.

Come raise a stein with us TOMORROW (Oct. 3) at our Oktoberfest party, right here at the brewery from 3–9 p.m.! 🍻🥨

Full steins and good times! Please enjoy responsibly, and for the love of Bavaria, don’t schnitz your lederhosen. Prost! 🇩🇪
