Findlay Creek Apiary Local Bee and Honey producer The Findlay Creek Apiary began as a single hive on the family farm and was born from a desire to help save the bees. Please enjoy!

As a professional Real Estate Agent I have struggled to find personal and unique celebration gifts for my happy clients. The gift of a jar of Honey taken from my very own bees seemed ideal and quickly became in-demand by my past clients and their friends. The Findlay Creek Apiary is a very short distance to the actual Findlay Creek. Our bees collect nectar and pollen from a wide variety of local wild flowers creating a very flavorful honey.

Had a swarm today. We found the queen (old blue girl) and offered them a new hive box. They took to it like a cat to a box.

We were asked by one of our followers for an honest report on the heath situation of 2026 bee population.
Luckily, I had a much needed rainy day off of beekeeping so I put some thought into it .

Busy bees - Busy Beekeeper
These are my Queen castles; a small box that is used to raise new queens. Once a queen is mature and laying eggs she will be transferred into a larger production colony. 🍯

That was a unique one- the first time we have had an storm with an East Wind in many years. Lots of water, lots of wet bees. One of our storage sheds did a Dorothy and Toto. So glad we cleared our drainage ditches in the spring.
