Today was a sad day at Maple Shade Farm. We had to say goodbye to a pretty special member of the farm.
Tonka was a lover of all people and animals. Whether delivery men, family and friends or strangers he was always happy to greet you at the door. He loved his cats, cows and his kids. He was a great hunter of ground hogs. Loved his side by side rides and protecting us from the coyotes or turkeys.
He will be terribly missed and leave a big empty spot on our farm. Special thanks to Dr. Keith at Rideau - St. Lawrence Veterinary Services who came to make his ending as peaceful and love filled as could be in his favourite spot in the barn.
