Sorry to post this notice, but Grampa Dan has been tested with serious health issues and is in hospital, ahead of several procedures. It is not known when or if he may return to his kitchen. Please send prayers for his comfort, cure, healing and full recovery!

Our School Program will take a break with the kiddos for winter break, but we'll be back for January, opening up to all local schools and masjids in Stittsville & Kanata! Excited to bring special, halal, comfort foods to student tummies. Check out the menu

The picture is not mine, but the food review is! Mohamed and his family came by on the way from a family trip and they loved EVERYTHING: "We decided to try Grampa Dan and boy we were not disappointed. We were a big group and decided to try several things on the menu and I have to say everything was amazing. The burgers were juicy and well seasoned, chicken perfectly grilled, fried calamary was to die for and the fries fresh. The caveman burger is my personal favorite. In addition to the fantastic quality of the food, the portions were very very generous especially for the cost. We are making Grampa Dan a new favorite and we will be regulars."

It makes me so happy when your tummy is happy! Fresh, local, never frozen and worth the drive!

What thing? Our CAVEMAN burger! My friend Daniel wrote this about his encounter with our largest burger: "Really good burgers , I highly recommend the caveman burger that thing is MASSIVE!!!! The beef taste amazing , this guy really doesn't cheap out and you definitely get a real burger."

So what do you get with this monster? The challenge is to eat it. This burger will fill your tummy, 2 6-ounce patties, double cheese, double halal bacon, onion rings, mac and cheese, halal sausage, and topped off with a sunny-side fried egg. Can you take the caveman? Come try and see! We're open through the snows!

Ok, confession time: our chicken burgers are not actually burgers. They are large pieces of whole chicken breast, marinated and grilled 'perfectly', as our customer mentioned in a recent review. There. Now you know.

Best review yet! "Visited Grampa Dan’s today (first time) in Carp. A wonderful man - generous, kind, funny. We ordered cheeseburgers, fries, jalapeño poppers and -impulsively- a caveman burger (fried egg, jalapeños, halal bacon, two patties, cheese… It was, Alhamdulillah, delicious! All around - phenomenal. The ingredients were fresh, the flavor was terrific, the fries… we’ll be back, Insha’allah. Highly recommended.
