Please bring your own water and wear weather appropriate clothing. Please wear sturdy shoes , the plot can be muddy. Come find us at the GEFC community greenhouse! The community greenhouse is the farthest north, past the red barn at Just Food . We will meet at the greenhouse at 11 AM and move to the plot around 11:30 AM. Please reach out if you need more detailed directions.

This week we have raspberry plants to plant in the field, as well as corn and peas.In the greenhouse we have some okra to plant and egyptian spinach.

Thank you for coming to seedling Saturday Today we planted some seedlings and seeds in the planters around the barn !

We did one full of potatoes , one with mix of veggies and flowers and one was mostly brassica plants like kale and mustard.

Seedlings Saturday was a success! Thank you to all y'all who came out to the farm :) we were able to meet our fundraising goal to fix up the germination chamber.

The Community Greenhouse has a germination chamber that is in need of some repairs. We are selling some seedlings this weekend to raise funds to improve the germination chamber.

A germination chamber is a humid, hot space that allows us to grow plants that need a longer growing period than we have in Canada. For example: peppers, sweet potatoes etc

Want to help to sow seeds in the planters around the barn?

Planting happening at 12pm, no experience required.

Select seedlings available to fundraise to refurbish the germination chamber in the community greenhouse. We are fundraising to buy heating mats for a "tool library" allowing community members to borrow a heating pad for the season free of charge.

Free parking available on site behind the red barn, accessible by Bus Route #25.

Bountiful Beaver is a non-profit, volunteer-run farm in East Ottawa (2391 Pepin Court, Just Food community farm) that grows organic produce for local food banks.
