We are a Community Shared Agriculture (CSA) farm, providing organically produced herbs and vegetables to the people of Ottawa. What is CSA? Community Shared Agriculture (CSA) is a relationship between farmers and the folks who eat their produce. CSA partners sign up before the season begins, to receive a share of the farm's bounty: a box of organic, farm-fresh produce every week during the growing
season. By paying in advance, CSA partners help farmers afford early season costs. CSA partners also accept to share the risks and benefits that come with the ups and downs of the growing season. That means if we have a bountiful year, you will receive some extra produce in your share each week. It also means that if there is a drought, flood, or disease/insect infestation that impacts the harvest, we will all receive a little less, but it will still be a fair share of the harvest. At Herbivor Farm, we are committed to providing diverse baskets of exceptionally fresh, local produce. Join us for the adventure of the 2014 season! How it works:
