Summer CSA week #1 all packed up!

First week's share included:

☆ Mixed greens
☆Head lettuce
☆Pak choi
☆Radishes
☆Green onions
☆Garlic scapes
☆Snow peas

This season has been all over the map so far weather wise, sure is keeping us on our toes. From extreme heat days to heavy frosts a few days later, there really is no telling what mother nature has up her sleeves. Tonight is going down to 9 degrees, just wild!

There has been heavy pest pressure, either no rain or SO much of it and we are doing our bestest to stay sane through it all.lol

This is the first season in the past 6 or 7 that we did not hire field employees, and it is just Gabe and I. Yes, I know that sounds crazy and it just might be but, it has been a hard few years financially and in all honesty that wasn't really an option for us. Luckily we LOVE what we do, doing it together and bringing all of our hard work in the form of produce and honey to our community!

We are feeling super optomistic about what is to come this season despite the hurdles and bumps in the road and we want to thank each and everyone of you who support us, believe in us and make the harder times a little bit brighter!

Another wonderful Saturday spent !

It was do nice to have back behind the table with me today. Thank you to everyone who chooses to do their grocery shopping at our table (and all the other amazing vendors) each week and skip the grocery store. I can promise you those big corporations do not appreciate it like your hard working local farmers do!

Seeing how excited you get about what we grow and have to offer each week makes all the hard work SO worth it, always the highlight of our week!

Happy birthday to our sweet sunshine boy!
Being your parents and watching you grow is the greateat honour. You my son are truly one of a kind and have taught us more about love, acceptance, patience and that no matter what diagnosis you live with, there are no limits to YOU and your capabilities!
Thank you for teaching me exactly who I am meant to be and filling our hearts with the firecest love!

Your smile can truly light up the darkest of rooms.

Thank you to all the folks who chose to eat local and do their grocery shopping today at our table and witb all the other amazing producers, growers, bakers and makers , we sure do appreciate it! ♡

The first harvest for is coming out of the community gardens! Spinach, mixed greens and beautiful head lettuces will be on the menu next week. We are thrilled to help feed our community in another way and be a part of this project this year for the first season!

Very different then the usual spaces we are used to growing in and we are learning alot! We love the community aspect and hoping others get inspired with how much food you can truly grow in a small.space!

The final countdownis on for our 18 week Summer CSA sign up!

What is a CSA? It stands for Community Supported Agriculture and it is a mutually beneficial relationship between you the customer and us, your farmers! It secures 18 weeks of fresh in season organically grown produce, you pay one sum and that locks down a bounty of harvests with no change in cost for you, it ensures we have a home for alll the seeds and plants we plant, care for and harvest and eliminates the potential for waste on the farm!

It is an amazing way to eat in season, keep your dollars locally and help to support smale scale agriculture, our farm and family! Essentially you are investing in our farm, our practices and US!

We have about 15 more shares available and would love to get those spots filled up and a chance to feed more members of our community!
