💛 An Important Message from BB Farms 💛
After a great deal of thought and many hard conversations, we made the extremely difficult decision to disperse the BB Farms flock.
This is not something we ever imagined writing. Sheep—and everything that came with them—have shaped our days, our seasons, and our lives in ways that are hard to put into words.
Over the past while, we have watched our ewes leave one by one for their new homes. Each one carried memories with her, and while it was incredibly hard to see them go, it also meant so much to know they were going to places where they will be cared for and valued.
Today was a reminder of why we loved this life so much.
We kept back a small group — 4 to lamb in April and 1 to lamb in May — and this morning, starting at 2 AM and finishing around 6 AM, we welcomed 4 sets of healthy twins into the world. Quiet moments in the barn, new life, and that familiar feeling we’ve known for so many years.
At the same time, our phones filled with pictures and videos from the new homes of our ewes as they lambed out. Seeing them settled, cared for, and continuing on in new flocks brought a kind of comfort that’s hard to explain.
We want to sincerely thank everyone who purchased our genetics. It meant everything to us to see them go to homes where they will be appreciated and loved just as much as they were here.
It still feels surreal.
We’re not leaving the industry — it will just look different. And while this chapter is closing, the people, the memories, and the love for what we’ve built will always stay with us.
If we have any rams remaining, they will be shared here.
To everyone who has been part of BB Farms — thank you. For the support, the friendships, the early mornings, the late nights, the shows, and the countless memories.
Thank you for being part of our story. 🤍
We hope to see you this summer.
The last picture is just one of the pictures we received today from Sheep Wrangler Farms with Miss Maddie and "her" new lambs!
