Nacho Farm

Nacho Farm A little farm with big dreams. The learning curve for what we want to accomplish here at Nacho Farm is STEEP. Who am I kidding? I never took physics.

In October 2011, the Hatrick family took over three acres in Minto Township, Ontario with big dreams and big plans for our little piece of rural heaven. We've spent the last year adjusting to living in the country and learned a lot of lessons about bringing home livestock just because it's cute, and how our love for the farm life wanes a bit when the snow flies. I have never read so much in my lif

e and yet still felt clueless about a subject since grade eleven physics. More and more we realize that a lot of what we want to do can only be accomplished by doing it, and failing and then doing it again. After all, we are just city people who knew nothing of all the growing, raising, birthing and dying that goes on when you want to run a farm, no matter how big or small. So we're going to muddle through, and learn and learn some more and then when we think we might know enough to share, we will share. Until then our kids, friends and family can be our guinea pigs...I mean, sounding boards, taste testers, reality checkers.
