Due to the uncertainty surrounding today’s severe weather and the potential safety risks associated with the ongoing tornado and severe thunderstorm warnings, Big Dog Diner will be CLOSED for the remainder of the day.

The safety of our staff and customers will always come first. With conditions changing quickly, we don’t feel it’s worth asking anyone to be out on the roads unnecessarily.

We apologize for any inconvenience and appreciate everyone’s understanding.

Stay safe, and we see you tomorrow hopefully. If there’s no heartbreaking post then we’ll be open!!!

Alright everyone I think it’s about time that big dogs give back!!

Over the last year, you guys have given so much to us. You’ve supported our business, shared our posts, brought your families to eat with us, told your friends about us and helped turn Big Dogs into what it is today.

So now we want to use some of that support to do something good for somebody else.

We’re incredibly proud to have teamed up with the Thyroid Foundation of Canada to bring you:

🚗☕ BIG DOG CARS & COFFEE ☕🚗

This isn’t just about getting a bunch of cool cars together on a Sunday morning. The entire reason behind this event is to raise money and awareness for thyroid disease.

Approximately 1 in 8 people or 12% of the global population will develop a thyroid condition during their lifetime, including one of the owners here at Big Dog Diner. That makes this particular cause incredibly personal to us and something we’re very proud to put our name behind.

And we’ve already had some amazing people step up to help us make it happen.

☕ Altitude Coffee Roasters has generously donated all of the coffee AND cups for the event, meaning even more of the money we raise can go directly toward the cause. We’ll also have bags of Altitude coffee available for purchase during the event.

🏁 And this one is pretty damn cool…

We’ll be holding a raffle for a ride-along with a qualified race instructor from grand bend motorplex! If you’ve ever wondered what it’s like to experience a racetrack from the passenger seat with someone who actually knows how to drive professionally, here’s your chance.

We’ll have coffee, breakfast sandwiches, a donation jar on site, and 100% of the event proceeds will be donated to the Thyroid Foundation of Canada.

You don’t need an exotic car. You don’t need a muscle or classic car….You don’t even need to bring a car.

Come check them out. Grab some breakfast and a coffee. Enter the raffle. Meet some great people. Learn a little about thyroid disease and help us raise as much money and awareness as we possibly can.

Dear customers, we’ve heard you loud and clear!

You wanted some shade and a place to escape the sun, rain, and whatever else Mother Nature throws at us.

We see your umbrella… and raise you a gazebo. 😎

A huge thank you to everyone who’s supported us and helped make Big Dogs what it is today. We hope you enjoy the new covered seating area as much as we’re excited to have it!

Just one little housekeeping note: please, no smoking in or on any enclosed/covered areas, including the gazebo and deck. We want to keep these spaces comfortable for everyone. ❤️

Our regular potatoes are currently out of season. So at the moment we are trying different potatoes to see what fits best. So any and all feed back is appreciated. And just know we are trying our best to find the best fit potato for our fries. The ones we have at the moment taste great, but are much darker than usual due to higher sugar content in them. We do apologize to our French fry lovers 🥰
