I have lived in Alberta all my life, seen 11 springs and summers on our farm.
We had frost in the early am of June 22. Knowing if the frost cloth was not out, the annual garden would have died.
The plant here is a Zinnia, a beautiful flower that is native to Mexico and Central America. I can grow it here as a annual and she is not frost tolerant.

After a 2024 break from growing annual flowers, the annual garden returns in 2025!
These future flowers will be attending 5 markets bi-weekly at St Albert Farmers Market starting July 5th!
