🍏 What a gorgeous weekend it's been! ☀️

Thank you to everyone who came out to soak up the sunshine with us — it's been wonderful seeing the place full of happy faces both young and old (and canine!).

A quick reminder: now that we're only open on Saturdays and Sundays, we're opening up our space for private events during the week — birthdays, work dos, celebrations, you name it. When the temperature drops, we'll have a cosy, heated fall space ready to host you. We have wonderful food truck partners who would love to help feed you too! (Amanda's Grill and Isle Air Chicken I'm looking at you! 🍔🍻)

And if you'd rather bring the C***rhouse to your own event, we also have a kegerator available for hire so you can pour our c***r on tap wherever your party's happening! 🍻

🍏 Welcome to October! It looks like it'll be another beautiful weekend so come on out and make the most of the sunshine - we'll have lots of tables in the sun!☀️

Saturday:
🧺 Find us at the Errington Farmers' Market Harvest Market in the Errington Park, 10am-1pm
🍔 C***rhouse open from 12pm-6pm with Amanda's Grill on site for delicious burgers, poutine, and more.

Sunday (12-6pm):
🍔 Isle Air Chicken with us so come hungry, you don't want to miss their amazing air fried chicken!

🍻 7 c***rs on tap all weekend, opening on Saturday with Blueberry, Rhubarb, and Plum on the rotating taps.

Tomorrow we pause and reflect for the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation.

If you're local, please consider joining the community gathering and walk in Qualicum Beach, which begins at 10am and will conclude with words from Chief Mugalease (Michael Recalma) of Qualicum First Nation. 🧡

National Day for Truth and Reconciliation Community Gathering & Walk

Please join us for a community gathering and walk in recognition of the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation.

The day will begin at ts’xwelikwshenawtxw - a Pentlatch name meaning “the house at the foot of Mount Arrowsmith”

10:00 AM - 12:00 PM

Gather at ts’xwelikwshenawtxw, 124 West 2nd Avenue, Qualicum Beach, for tea, coffee, conversation and reflection.

Guests will be invited to create a paper Orange Shirt to carry during the community walk and bring with them to the Qualicum Beach Museum. Truth and Reconciliation resources will also be available to explore and take home.

12:30 PM

We will walk together from ts’xwelikwshenawtxw to Qualicum Beach Town Hall, where Chief Mugalease (Michael Recalma) of Qualicum First Nation and Mayor Teunis Westbroek will share words with the community.

Approximately 1:00 PM

The walk will continue together to the Qualicum Beach Museum, where Chief Mugalease (Michael Recalma) will offer final words. Participants may then visit the museums specially-curated exhibition, which includes the history of Residential Schools, the Rights of Indigenous People, and reflections from a Qualicum First Nation poet.

Wear Orange
Everyone joining the walk is encouraged to wear an orange shirt or carry an orange shirt sign or symbol.

As we walk together may we carry what we learn and remember beyond this day - into stronger relationships, deeper understanding and the future we shape together.

Happy first day of fall! 🍂 And what better way to mark it than our new Fall Hours going up at Swayne Creek C***rhouse.

From today until December 20th, you'll find us open Saturdays & Sundays, 12–6pm. You'll usually find Amanda's Grill with us on Saturdays and Isle Air Chicken on Sundays, plus a cosy heated tent (when it gets cold) and fall-inspired c***rs waiting for you.

Come on out and see what autumn at the c***rhouse is all about. 🍎

The equinox may not officially be here 'til tomorrow, but you can't tell from our orchard - spiderwebs strung with dew, sunshine coming in low and golden through the trees. Autumn arrived early at Swayne Creek. 🍂

And with it: our new Fall Hours! Open Saturdays and Sundays, 12–6pm, until December 20th. Food trucks, a cosy tent, and fall-inspired c***rs are all waiting for you.

🍏 Fresh off the press! 🍏

Watch the juicing in action - mash going in, raw juice coming out. That golden liquid you see here is the beginning of next year's c***r. Thanks to those who've dropped off apples recently... we're making good use of them!

And exciting news: we've ordered more kegs! With rotating taps becoming so popular (you drank us dry not long ago, remember? 😳), we're expanding our capacity to make sure there's always something new pouring.

More c***r, more variety, more reasons to visit. See you at the C***rhouse! 🍎
