Get your napkins ready because burgers have never been sooo juicy! 🍔🍉 Mouthwatering watermelon and cool, crisp cucumbers help bring maximum freshness to this flame-grilled fave!

Ingredients
Pickled Cucumbers
4 mini cucumbers
1 tsp salt

Whipped Feta
8 oz feta cheese
⅓ Greek Yogurt
¼ cup mint leaves
1 lemon, zested
2 tbsp lemon juice
2 tbsp olive oil

Burger
4 Compliments Frozen Sirloin Beef Burgers
4 1-in thick slice of watermelon
4 Compliments Burger Buns

Directions
Pickled cucumbers: Slice 4 mini cucumbers into rounds and toss in a bowl with 1 tsp salt. Let sit for 15 mins. Drain and squeeze excess liquid. Set aside.

Whipped Feta cheese: In a food processor, whip 8oz feta with 1/3 cup Greek yogurt, ¼ cup packed mint leaves, zest of one lemon, 1-2 Tbsp lemon juice, and 2 Tbsp olive oil.

Burgers: Grill Compliments Sirloin Burgers according to package instructions. They are done when the burgers have reached an internal temperature of 71°C (160°F).

Spread toasted burger bun with whipped lemon-mint feta.

Top with grilled beef burger patty, a 1-inch-thick slice of watermelon, pickled cucumbers and second bun half.

Happy S’Mores Day! 🍫🏕️
 
If you don’t want to camp, but still want the snacks, here’s Chef Alex’s take on sheet pan s’mores at home - with an elevated twist. 

Ingredients:
🍫Compliments S’Mores Kits
🍫Compliments Honey Graham Wafers
🍫Compliments Mini White Marshmallows 
🍫Compliments Milk Chocolate Bars 
🍫Flaky Sea Salt
🍫Compliments Caramel Spread
🍫Compliments Pretzel Sticks

Directions: 

On a parchment-lined baking sheet, arrange graham crackers in an even layer. 

Microwave mini marshmallows and butter in 30-second intervals, stirring between until smooth (you can do this in a fancier way if you like).

Pour the marshmallow mixture over the graham crackers and spread it evenly. Drizzle caramel spread over top.

Microwave chocolate bar in 30-second intervals until smooth, then spread over the marshmallow layer (you can also do this in a fancier way if you like).

Sprinkle with broken graham crackers, marshmallows and pretzel bits.

Allow to chill in the fridge for at least 30 minutes or until set, slice and break into pieces and serve.

2 cups (500 mL) store-bought kimchi
6 peaches, cut into wedges, divided (see note)
2 garlic cloves, peeled
2 tbsp (30 mL) vegetable oil
1 ⅓ lb (600 g) boneless, skinless chicken thighs
1 English cucumber, sliced into half-moons
1 avocado, peeled and diced
1 cup (35 g) cilantro leaves and stems, coarsely chopped
2 green onions, thinly sliced

Ingredients
Compliments Dark Chocolate Chip
Compliments Chocolate Chip Cookies
Compliments Marshmallow Fluff
1 tsp coconut Oil

Directions
In a microwave-safe bowl, melt ½ - 1 cup marshmallow fluff in 10 second increments until it’s a runny consistency.

In another microwaveable bowl, melt ⅓ cup Compliments Dark Chocolate Chips with 1 tsp coconut oil.

Dunk half of each cookie in the heated marshmallow fluff, and place on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.

Drizzle melted chocolate on top of each cookie.

Optional garnish: Crush up one cookie into a dust to garnish at the end.

Watermelon was made for sharing, and what better way to share it than with a summery Watermelon Sago! ☀️🍉🧋

This Southeast Asian-inspired refreshment combines juicy watermelon chunks, creamy coconut milk, and chewy sago pearls and jellies, all served right in the watermelon! Grab a spoon, some friends, and get ready to dig into delicious!

Ingredients
3 cups (450 g) watermelon, balled
⅓ cup (74 mL) small tapioca pearls
½ cup (125 mL) coconut milk
3 tbsp (38 g) sugar, divided
½ tsp (1.3 g) cornstarch
½ tsp (2.5 mL) vanilla
2 tbsp lychee flavour coconut jelly (optional) (see note)
2 tsp (10 mL) lime juice

Toppings
1 cup (150 g) cold watermelon, diced
Mint leaves, to taste

🌟 Meet The Team Monday🌟

This week we're introducing Katrina, one of our Front End Supervisors!

Have you ever been shopping and heard a page over the speakers that made you stop and think, "I know that voice!" Chances are, it was Katrina! 📣

As one of our Front End Supervisors, Katrina keeps the front end running smoothly, but she's probably best known for being the voice behind many of the announcements you hear throughout the store. Whether she's calling for assistance, sharing an update, or helping customers find what they need, Katrina is always keeping everyone connected.

We asked Katrina a few questions about working here:

🎉Congrats to Allison from Seguin!🎉

She was the lucky winner of our Blackstone Griddle, donated by our local Canadian Tire!

Our Food Drive Giveaway brought in over $1500 in cash donations and 200 of our $10 Food Bank Bags were also purchased. These donations were split between Parry Sound Harvest Share and Parry Sound Salavation Army!
