We are very proud to share that Di Salvo’s Hospitality Group has joined the Unite for Good Gathering as an event Sponsor.

This comes at a particularly meaningful time for our team. We have just completed three incredible days catering the 176th Robinson Huron Treaty of 1850 Gathering at Wasauksing First Nation — an experience we are extremely grateful to have been entrusted with.

Di Salvo’s has been fortunate to receive tremendous support from First Nations communities throughout our area over the years. Whether through our restaurant, catering, community events or celebrations, that support has meant a great deal to our family and our business.

Becoming a Sponsor of the Unite for Good Gathering is one small way for us to give some of that support back.

We’re honoured to be part of this very special Gathering. ❤️

Thank you to the Parry Sound & Area Chamber of Commerce for helping spread the word about the 176th Robinson Huron Treaty of 1850 Gathering.

Di Salvo’s is incredibly grateful to have been selected as the caterer for this three-day Gathering, taking place September 8–10 at Wasauksing First Nation.

This is a significant undertaking for our team, with multiple meal services for approximately 500 guests at a time, including the Traditional Anishinaabe Feast on September 9. To make it happen, we need all hands on deck, along with much of the cooking, holding and transportation equipment normally used in our restaurant.

For that reason, Di Salvo’s Restaurant will be closed September 8, 9 & 10 and will reopen Friday, September 11 at 4:00 p.m.

We know being closed for several days may be an inconvenience for our regular guests, and we sincerely appreciate your understanding and support. We are very grateful to have been entrusted with such an important event and are looking forward to a very busy and rewarding few days.

🧡 Robinson Huron Treaty of 1850 Gathering – 2026

The Robinson Huron Treaty of 1850 Gathering is taking place September 8–10, 2026 at Wasauksing First Nation, co-hosted by Wasauksing First Nation and Shawanaga First Nation.

This year’s theme, “E’SHKINJIGIJIG BI-BZIGWIIWAG – The Youth Are Rising,” reflects the importance of coming together in unity, honouring the strength and guidance of ancestors, increasing awareness and understanding of the Treaty, and supporting the next generation as they carry this knowledge forward.

The Gathering offers an important opportunity for community members, families, youth, leaders and guests to come together, learn, connect and take part in conversations and activities centred around the Robinson Huron Treaty of 1850.
