OK, I’ve been waiting to make this post for a while now we finally have better security in place.

but I just wanna bring to light that running a farm stand isn’t all rainbows and sunshine. There are hard days. There are days where I stop in between jobs just to check on the egg stand and when I come home and find that somebody has vandalized my property, it’s heartbreaking.

I have ran this honour system with no issues on my home property for three whole years now, I’ve had people take food and not pay for it. I’ve had people short change me, but I haven’t had an incident like this yet.

My money box was vandalized and destroyed, and they had stolen my camera.
I’d also like to mention, I do not make a killing on my egg stand when they ripped open my money box and realized there was no money. They stole my camera. There are days. I’ll be lucky if there’s six dollars in egg sales.
Now I have to go out of my way and spend $200 to fix my honour stand. It’s devastating but let me tell you when I get knocked down. I get right back up swinging baby! 💖🙌

I love my community. Don’t get me wrong. That was the whole point in making the honour system was to give back to my community,
I just wanted to shed some light on something I’ve been going through.🙏💖

Please support local. These are hard-working people running these little farm stands. We’re not making a killing. We’re all just trying to get by thank you.🙏💖

Don’t mind the tone in my voice as you can tell I was pretty heartbroken to come home from work and find this. 🙏😭

We had the pleasure of meeting Kala of Horseshoe lake homestead early this morning, and of course we also got to meet some of her beautiful Sebastopol Geese.
And even more of a pleasure was bringing 4 of her Blue Sebastopol Goslings back home with us 🩷
