Merle Lawrence has been a large part of our story here at Fitz, starting with us in 1991. He was here for the original planning and development of what was then Greata Ranch Vineyard, and later through the transition to Fitzpatrick Family Vineyards in 2017, following the sale of CedarCreek.
Merle is the backbone of our property. He can often be found driving the tractor between long vineyard rows, maintaining our winery building, or tending to the million other little details that keep our property serene and beautiful for the guests who visit.
There would be no Fitzpatrick Family Vineyards as we know it without Merle and Sarah working hand in hand to create the beautiful wines you have come to know and love.
For that, we raise a toast to him.
