d Bob and Senka, not wanting to leave the industry, started looking for a small piece of property on which to establish a new vineyard and winery. Their idea was to concentrate on a couple of white grape varieties that had been attracting their interest. After extensive searching, a piece of property was found on the Naramata Bench about halfway between Penticton and Naramata. The property has a great southwestern slope with very rocky, sandy soils. In elevation it is above the heavier lake deposits characteristic of the lower benches. An excellent location to plant the white grapes varietals they wanted to grow. The original property name "Lone Hand Ranch" was retained as the vineyard operating name. The two chosen grape varieties for the home vineyard were Albarino and Verdejo - white grape varieties grown for 9 centuries in northwest Spain and Portugal. Over the next three years they were able to plant their vineyard as certified plant stock, sourced from California nurseries, became available. From these two varieties they are now producing the sensational white wine they call "FANDANGO"! Grapes purchased form a select few dedicated growers allow for the production of their other white wine. It is a delicious blend of the grape varieties Roussanne, Viognier and Marsanne that they call "FIGARO"! You are welcome to drop by and visit the winery facility that was constructed entirely of concrete and sits in a natural hollow in a corner of their farm. Tastings and sales are available May-Oct 12:00 am to 5:00 pm.

A little bit of everything this week as a small business and family farm. The best part? Our 2025 Viognier is now available. ✨✨

After almost no crop in 2024, seeing Viognier back in the glass feels pretty special.

Erin captured this little weasel at the winery this past week and we couldn’t help but share the images here.

Nadine made our 2025 Viognier from the incredible Raisin D'Etre Vineyard on the Naramata Bench. The 2025 is aromatic, fresh and textured in the glass.

Our club members got a sneak peek at last week’s release party in Penticton with growers Jim and Rebel in attendance, which made sharing this wine even more meaningful.

Now pouring at the tasting room and available online.

Sometimes the wines you wait for are worth the wait.

Some things take longer than they should.

For a family and team who love music as much as wine, we’re not quite sure how it took us this long to bring the two together.

This summer, we’re finally doing it!

Lisa has curated an incredible lineup of local musicians for our new Sunday Music Lounge Series at Terravista. Every Sunday this summer (except long wkds).

Think sunny afternoons. A glass of Fandango 💃. Spanish conservas and snacks. Lake views. And talented local artists providing the soundtrack.

We’re kicking things off on Father’s Day this weekend with Tom Richardson playing from 2–4 pm.

• No cover
• Live music from 2–4 pm
• Tastings and feature wines by the glass - your choice
• Spanish conservas, boards, and snacks
• Patio and lake views

Come for a tasting. Stay for a glass. Settle in for the afternoon.

We have a feeling this is going to become one of our favourite traditions. And yes, those are our sons playing banjo and guitar. Who else do you see 😉 ? Let me know in the comments!

Eric toured Augusta and Josh around our 3 certified organic vineyards on the Naramata Bench this morning.

They discussed wins, challenges, site variation and organic farming. We also tasted a little wine with our winemaker, Nadine. Thanks for coming and spending some time with us. Collaborative conversations like this fire us up! Thanks to for the connection.

Augusta Van Muyen was named the 2025 Grape King and is the Vineyard Manager for Tawse Family Vineyards, Niagra Escarpment.

The title of Grape King is bestowed upon an Ontario grape grower who exemplifies excellence in the vineyard.

Things take time to grow.

A vineyard.
A business.
A family.

This picking bin carried fruit from Terravista’s very first vintage of Albariño and Verdejo. Today, they are weathered but stand beside the next generation, one of our sons.

Like our Mencía vines, planted in 2021 and only this spring giving us their first release, a rosé that sold out quickly. Now, we wait again.

Support local, support small business.

5 Years with Laura 🍃✨ Grape Farmer to Supervisor - Happy 5th - grateful! ❤️ When our team meets a 5 year milestone, they can name one of our vineyard blocks. I wonder which one catches her eye or has given her the most grief ✂️ 😄?

Winemaker Wednesdays - a chance to slow down and spend some time with our winemaker behind Terravista and En Terre Wines: Nadine Kinvig.

From cellar experiments and new releases to vineyard stories, vintage reflections, and the projects that have us excited right now, these afternoons are more open conversations around wine, farming, and place.

Perfect for industry friends, wine lovers, curious palates, and anyone wanting a deep look into what’s unfolding in the cellar and vineyards this season.

Come by for a glass, a question, and a midweek wander. 12-5

Yes, but…. is it complex? Is it magic? The romantic version of wine country vs. BTS in farming.

A little less swirling and sipping… a little more fixing, cleaning, hauling, farming, and figuring it out as we go.

Still wouldn’t trade it. Worth it.

What a fun way to kick off May. Still soaking this in…

Three of our 2025 wines landed in the BC Top 50 last night:

🍃 2025 Albariño
🍃 2025 Verdejo
🍃 2025 Marsanne

All grown here on the Naramata Bench, from our certified organic vineyards — which makes this one feel especially close to home for Eric and me.

Moments like this give us a chance to pause and appreciate the people behind it all: Nadine in the cellar, our farming crew in the vineyard, and the team who bring these wines to life each day.

A big thank you to the judges, volunteers, and for the recognition, and a nod to our Naramata Bench neighbours at Laughing Stock — well deserved. All wines were double blind tasted and it’s so fun to see the 2025s standing out 💃

If you’re curious, come by for a glass, a wander, and a closer look at what this vintage is all about.
