Here's a little look at what happens behind the scenes here.
Every harvest leaves us with grape skins, stems, and seeds. Its part of making wine, but not something we ever want to send to the landfill. This year, we built these composters using reclaimed pallets, repurposed burlap, and a whole lot of help from our community.
Inside them: grape skins from the winery, food scraps collected locally, coffee grounds, and even dog fur from a groomer, all breaking down into something that will eventually go back into our vineyard soils.
It’s not flashy, and it’s not perfect, but it’s one small way we try to take care of the land that grows our grapes and supports our wines.
Every glass of wine you drink helps us make some really good dirt. Thanks for being part of the cycle!
