How it already almost September?!

We brought in a few new items from Essence of Life Organics!
- We have bamboo bandages available again, which are more breathable, eco-friendly, and gentle on your skin compared to their plastic predecessors.
- An oldie but a goodie; this style of bottle brush is great for the narrow necks and longer bottles.
- If you can’t decide between a sponge or a copper scrubbie, grab a pack of these coconut fibre scrub pads instead. They’re tough on grime but safe for almost all surfaces!
- We’ve had so many people ask for crystal salt deodorant sticks, so we found the one without a plastic case. The best part? We also have the refill sticks so you can save the cork container and easily fit a new block in when needed!

Guess who got new gummies!

They do contain gelatine, but we offer plenty of other vegan options, so don’t worry!

We got a nice restock of our bottles and jars this week, such as our selection of metal containers in various sizes!
They’re perfect for travel, or for in the shower if you don’t trust yourself with glass 😉
We even have them in an 80ml size with pump or mister tops, so you can stop buying those tiny plastic bottles of generic brands and simply refill your toiletries with the good stuff, for cheaper!

It feels kind of weird to be promoting products while we have bigger concerns right now, but I feel like these ones are so useful that it might be nice to know about them.
New from Om Naturale are these amazingly portable compressed cotton cloths, made with organic calendula-infused sunflower oil, natural essential oils, and soothing aloe!
Simply add a bit of water and watch them expand, and give yourself a good wipe down.
They’re perfect for camping, taking with for your day-to-day errands, and for when you go on vacation! You never know when you’ll need some easy to use soap 🫧

I took this photo back in December, because I wanted to do a ‘before’ and ‘after’ of my compostable cellulose sponge from that I use at home. 🍓

It may surprise exactly no one that I then forgot about this plan and very much composted my sponge a couple of weeks ago. (Pretend to be surprised, please!)

This is to say, as someone living alone and doing my fair share of washing dishes, I think over six months of almost-daily use is pretty good 🤔

My sponge definitely did not look as beautiful as new, and it lost its rope near the end of its life, but I was so impressed that it never got smelly (I just rinsed it out and let it dry properly after each use) and the strawberry design was still visible until the end!
You can sterilise it in boiling water or soak it in vinegar if needed.
