Since I’m usually the one behind the camera and typing up these captions, I figured it was time to say a proper hello. I’m Kay. 👋

As our Sales and Marketing Manager, I look after our digital media and work closely alongside our GM, Kat, to keep things moving behind the scenes. If you’ve noticed our latest bottles on the shelves, I also got to design our new wine labels for the season.

From Friday to Sunday, you’ll find me behind the bar in the tasting room. Think of me as your go-to resource for all things Origin—whether you want the actual details on the vintage in your glass, have questions about our property, or just need a solid insider recommendation for your day on the Bench.

We’re open Friday through Sunday from 12 PM to 5 PM. Stop by this weekend, grab a flight, and let’s chat wine. 🍷

On June 20 from 12–3 PM, we’re proud to host the Ausome Art Exhibition & Silent Auction at Origin Wines in support of Watermelon Sessions’ Naramata Summer Camp.

Discover an inspiring collection of artwork created by neurodivergent kids and teens, enjoy a glass of wine while you browse, and bid on unique pieces that help make summer camp accessible for local families. 💛

Every auction purchase directly supports neurodivergent children and their families, helping fund four weeks of summer camp and providing valuable respite opportunities.

Next up in our vineyard dog series: meet Rosie Dosy. 🐶🐾

She basically operates in two modes: completely passed out taking a hard-earned nap, or a total ball of energy on a mission. If she’s awake, she’s usually patrolling the property and hunting for the next marmot.

She takes her vineyard security duties very seriously. Next time you’re up here on the Bench, keep an eye out for her—she’ll either be charging through the rows or curled up in a shady spot.

Things are moving fast out on the Naramata Bench. Right now, we’re in the thick of the rapid growth phase, with these beautiful inflorescences getting ready to bloom 🍇🌸

Since Canadian Environment Week runs from May 31 to June 6 this year, it’s the perfect time to talk about how we treat the land that grows our fruit. This week is all about refocusing our attention on nature conservation and the preservation of natural resources. For us, that means recognizing that the foundation for every vintage starts in the dirt. How our root systems interact with the soil profile directly influences the health and development of the canopy you see here.

Taking care of this specific ecosystem and practicing sustainable viticulture isn’t just a trend for us; it’s the core of what we do. It’s exactly why we always say this is where pedology meets the pour. 🍇

Two weekends ago, we had the best time hosting the crew from Freedom Bike Shop and Specialized for an epic e-mountain bike demo day right here at the vineyard. 🚵‍♂️🍷

There is nothing quite like combining local trails, great people, and the perfect post-ride pour. A huge thank you to everyone who came out to ride and hang out with us! If you’re out hitting the Penticton trails this weekend, come make us your cool-down spot. 🥂

Taking a moment to appreciate Kat and all the real, hands-on work she puts into the vines! 🌿

Things are greening up so fast here in the Okanagan Valley, and she is always out in the dirt making sure this year’s fruit gets exactly what it needs. It takes a lot of heart to manage the canopy, and we are so lucky to have her lead our Team.

Come up to the tasting room this weekend, grab a glass, and look out over the vineyard she helps keep so beautiful! We are pouring Friday through Sunday, 12pm to 5pm.
