We now have 7 baby goats who will be joining us (along with our regular herd), and two just born last night who still need a few days with their mom before they come out into the herd.

Porsche had her babies tonight (June 18)! Did you want to guess what she had... twin (wait for it) BOYS! 🤣🙄🥰 They are so adorable, and she did amazing - no problems with the deliveries at all (thank goodness). The boys are both big and healthy too, and much bigger than we thought they would be given Porsche's size. They have both nursed several times and are going to have a bit of alone time with mom before we head back out to check on them during the night. Just one more mom to go this year - Lotus is due on June 22!

Tinkerbell had ...TWIN BOYS! This is definitely another crazy boy year (but they are all so stinkin' cute!). However, we were so worried during her labour. It's just crazy how many of the girls are having difficulties this year 😢, and that's made us a bit overly cautious too. So tonight, Tinkerbell had her first boy around 5:07pm, and without too much of an issue (other than he was big - 6:03 lbs). She spent a lot of time cleaning him and he was a really strong boy, so was up walking within just a few minutes. He had even nursed several times on his own before she started to push again. After about 20 minutes of some pretty big pushes (and it was so heartbreaking as she was really screaming too), we called our new vet who lives just in Cawston (about 30 minutes from us). She tried walking us through getting the baby out, but he was big and was coming out breech, (we found out later) butt first, and was kind of wedged inside her. We couldn't get him to budge, so we asked the vet to come out (we now have a vet who can actually come to the farm - thank you so much Dr. Vesper!). In the meantime, Tinkerbell kept trying to push this baby out, and she screamed so loud with every push. We felt so helpless, and all we could do was hold her and comfort her and her first baby boy. Finally the vet made it out, and just as she came up to the barn, with Tinkerbell screaming, she asked if there was any progress. I was sitting there with Tinkerbell and said no, nothing has been coming out, and then we all looked and out popped this little boy's butt, followed by a couple of back legs, just kicking up a storm. We were so surprised, as nothing had moved at all until just that moment when the vet walked up (go figure)! I pulled him out all the way, and helped Tinkerbell clean him off. We were so happy he was ok (and so was Tinkerbell)! And completely shocked that she was able to push that guy out all by herself (after at least an hour and a half of trying to get him to move). This second baby was also a boy, and even bigger than his brother. We are now waiting for Porsche (who is on Day 145 today - technically her due date), and Lotus is due next week, and then that will be it for our babies this year. All we can say is keep your fingers crossed that everything goes smoothly for these last two girls.

Both Thyme and Tarragon squeak when they nurse! Their mom Lily and her sister Coral Bell both squeaked when they were babies. It's a sound that brings smiles to our faces when we hear the squeaks.

However, Thyme is taking the squeaks up a notch. 😂. He sure is a noisy little guy.

Our 2 little boys, Thyme and Tarragon, really enjoy taking an afternoon nap in the dish.

If you are still looking for a great Father's Day gift, why not consider our Father's Day Goat Yoga class. We are positive that Dad would enjoy the experience. Tickets available from our website.

Today we moved Lily and her boys back into the main stall with the rest of the herd. The boys were having a great time exploring. We have also named the boys. The darker boy is Tarragon and the lighter boy is Thyme.
We are open Thursday, Friday and Saturday from 10-5. Come on over and say hi to all the kids. 🐐😁

We are so impressed with R and C Hoof Trimming. They have been to our farm several times and do such an amazing job with not only all the goats, but also Daisy and Peter (the pigs). And we love that they take special care with any of the animals who need gentle handling (such as our last couple of pregnant goats, Faith our blind goat who has difficulty with her feet now too, Daisy2 who has that injury in her shoulder, etc.). They were out yesterday to trim A LOT of hooves here! Plus some cute photos of the baby goats!
